Warrior Family,
August 3rd began our long journey to Redemption. We have endured long practices, weight training, conditioning and strong opponents in order to obtain what was lost last year. I am proud to announce all of your work has paid off. The Martin Warrior Tennis Team has recaptured the district title and has brought fear back into their opponents. The district has been forced to remember their history and realize their future. Martin Tennis has been REDEEMED!
As wonderful as the fall season has been, our work is not finished. Redemption is the theme for the year ... both fall and spring seasons. Last year Martin was shut out of qualifying a player into the Spring Regional tournament. Only one person qualified to attend the tournament as an alternate. I don't know if in the history of Martin HS this atrocity has ever happened.
REDEMPTION is now the battle cry for the spring season. It is our goal this year to qualify as many teams as possible to attend the Regional Tournament in Lubbock, TX. We will work even harder to ensure that when a Martin player walks on the court, all will know the outcome even before the 1st serve is struck. We will make all remember the past and know their future.
I would like to say a special thank you to the Booster Club, Karen Ferraro and the Booster Board, Klempnauers, and to all the parents. The Fall season would not have been a success without your support.
